Re: Antibiotic concentration
Geraldine,
The concentration of any selection agent will not only vary greatly between
species, but can vary among cultivars within a species as well. The
concentration can also depend on culture conditions, partiularly the
gelling agent used, and the timing of application. You can establish a
'kill curve' using non-transformed callus and shoots to determine an
appropriate level to distinguish between transgenic and non-transgenic plants.
