Yes it is a little difficult.
I dissolve small amounts directly in 10ml water and a couple of drops of 1M
HCL. It helps to warm it up with hands (I have even tried a couple of short
blasts in the microwave although this may damage the adenine). It takes a a
little work with a glass stirring rod to crush it up and get it all
dissolved. Also it can be dissolved in 95% ethanol with a few drops 1M HCL.
This would make a better stock solution since it will remain sterile.
