Hi chandrasekhar,
I think the problem is with applying selection immediately and also excess 
growth of agro. After co-cultivation keep the calli on media with 
cefotoxime ithout hygromycin for a week before applying hygro selection. 
Also try combination of 250mg/L cef and 500mg/L carbenecellin. This is 
more effective in eliminating agro.

Browning may also be because of agro overwhelming the callus. Try 
co-cultivating the calli with agro on a plate where you keep a filter 
paper (whatman no 1 disc) on the media. This helps in sucking off excess 
agro. You can remove filter paper after the 3 day co-cultivation.
