Dear Christian,

thanks for this is very interesting information.
If I remember it correctly, Prof. Cassels from Cork, Ireland once mentioned in a
lecture, that they identified an endophyte that was obviously of human origin,
in other words the cultures were infected with a human bacterium.

I imagine, in your case the pink bateria grew out of the shots, like endophytes
do; in our case we had isolated colonies of pink bacteria growing on the medium
surface, so we concluded, that the cultures were contaminated by ourself.
