I have used 25-50 mg/l autoclaved in the medium for in vitro germination
with success.

Thank you for mentioning the mistake
we generally add about 2-2.5mg/l (Not gram) in the media before autoclaving
to control fungal contamination. For us it works effectively it seems this
is heat stable. For blanching we make 10mg/l solution to dip the roots of
plants in lukewarm water just before transplanting in vitro material to
green house
