For the list owner and others,

I find it very wasteful of time and computer resources to be sent attachments
like the one (over 200K) for this event. To add injury to insult I was then
treated to a short version (45K) in another message. It looks like all the
information one could want is ALREADY available on the web sites Mr. Feijoo
lists. The sender needs to think about those who cannot attend the event but
who have to pay for every K they download, to think about those who cannot
attend and who may not be able to read the language the message is in. This
type of information should have been made available on the web, a link
provided and not as an attachment (takes less than 10K).

On my own lists I have banned attachments due to this and virus problems. For
those without space to post on the web we have several members who will donate
space for announcements on their own sites. Our members seem pleased rather
than annoyed by this.
