Yes, it is used as a medium constituent, but it is also used to disinfect
plants, seeds, etc.
For medium addition, the recommended stock solution is 1/8 teaspoon to 750ml
water. 20ml of this solution is added to the tc medium and processed. This
is only a starting point, as I understand it. Some plants won't tolerate
this concentration. I have not used this myself but am looking into it as an
alternative.
