Re: Lighting/ fluorescent tubes
Morning!
I was told recently that CoolWhite ( halophosphate ) tubes weren't going
to be available in Australia much longer- something to do with
environmental contamination- the details escaped me. Once the stocks have
run out, that's it.
>From the discussion I had with the extremely helpful people at Sylvania
lighting, it seems the closest thing to coolwhite is something labelled
A840. That's the one I'll be replacing my coolwhites with and I'll be
closely monitoring the results. I was told that the chromaticity and
spectra are the most similar for these two types of tubes.
I received a rather large pdf document which outlines all these
parameters, it's about 1MB- so too large for individual email. If it helps
I can extract the relevant pages and upload the document somewhere for
discussion
