sterilization of explant segments

Dear all,

i am wondering about chloramine(s) T, is it really an
important step to sterilize the final segments of
explants to be cultured?

i've read that 075% conc. is useful for bulb
sterilization ? is this right?

is there any alternatives for it and how can i prepare
it in the lab if not found?
