Bacti cinerators
Hi Bill,
Thermoregulator in my lab was replaced 2 years ago, but heating elements
still working (already 5 years). They keep the temperature (240 degree C),
and I do not know what baseline temperature for element replacement.....
Good question.
We will replace heating elements only when they stop (due to efficient use
of our budget funds, you know....).

on a regular basis or just when they stop working?

and find that they suit our needs well. What I would like to know is how to
determine when the bacti cinerator element requires replacement. I thought
that temperature measurement might be the easiest but am not sure. What
would be a baseline temperature for element replacement? I could just
replace them on a regular basis but that does not ensure efficient use of our
budget funds. I want to be able to ensure maximum use without jeopardising
quality .............. mind you quality is paramount. I have been advised that
Bacti cinerators run at approx 816 degrees C which is pretty hot .............
some of ours were most certainly not achieving that kind of temperature.
Has anyone addressed this problem before?
