Job Announcement - TC Lab Manager



Job Announcement: 

TC Lab Manager, Burlington WA in the Skagit Valley near the San Juan Islands.  

The Tissue Culture Lab Manager is responsible for the efficient supervision of 
the small fruit micro-propagation facility that directly supports the small fruit 
production farm, raspberry nursery and processing plant in Washington as well 
as the strawberry nursery in California.   In addition, the position is responsible 
for producing tissue culture products for outside sales, which requires 
administering and tracking lab plant production and costs; coordinating lab 
production with the Nursery Sales Manager and Operations Manager, in a timely 
manner; and projecting resource requirements for short and long term needs.

Our company has recognition and history in the small fruit industry and the lab is 
located in a desireable area to live and  work. Incumbant will support Research 
and Development projects and Plant Breeding programs as required to maintain 
industry leadership position in new varieties, methods and technology. 

Develop media and procedures to maximize production, maintaining trueness to 
type. Produce tissue culture products for outside sales. Position will be filled as 
soon as possible, but prior to Jan 1,2006.
