Re: Transportation of Tissue Culture Plants
We use a similar method. Cultures are washed to free most (hopefully,
all) of the culture medium from the cultures. The washed cultures are
placed in zip-locked freezer bags. A wet piece of sterilized paper
towelling is included in each bag. We usually pack about 500 cultures
in each bag. The bags are then placed in standard Australia Post boxes
and sent by Express Post arriving the following day at their destination
(3 days for remote destinations).
